Fibre Works Farm PVC Skirting Table Instructions

You will need:

Approximately 36 feet of 1" diameter white plastic pipe. The amount will depend on how high and how large you want the table to. 36 feet will give you a 3 foot wide x 6 foot long x 3 foot high table. If you want a table that is 40" high (for taller people), purchase 38 feet.

6 plastic pipe T's to fit the diameter of the pipe length that you buy.

4 plastic pipe Elbow's to fit the diameter of the pipe.

1 small can of plastic pipe cement for the type of pipe you get.

Netting or wire mesh (2"x2" or 2" x1"), enough to cover the top of the table.

Cable ties or string to attach the mesh to the sides of the table.

Read over all of the instructions before starting. You may want to cut the pipe and assemble the table without using glue to make sure it all goes together properly. You can glue it when you have everything set as you want it.

  1. Cut 4 pieces of pipe 2 inches long.

  2. Glue one end of a 2" pipe into each of the 4 Elbows and the other end of the 2" pipe into each of 4 T's. Each T and Elbow should almost touch each other. The third or middle leg of the T should point 90 degrees from the direction of the Elbow as they will hold legs. The Elbows will make the corners of the table.

  3. Cut the 2 lengths of pipe the width you want your table to be less length of the Tee's and Elbow. This example table uses 30 inches to give an overall width of 3 feet. Glue each end of one of these lengths into a T attached to an Elbow so you have a T and elbow combination on each end of the 30 inch length of pipe. The middle legs of the T's should be pointing in the same direction. The order of the pieces should be: Elbow, 2" pipe, T, 30" pipe, T, 2" pipe, Elbow. The open end of the end Elbows should be pointing in the same direction as this is where the sides of the table will attach. Repeat the process for the other end of the table.

  4. Cut 6 legs to the length you want your table to be above the floor; 36 inches for this example (40" for the taller table). Cut 4 pieces of pipe, each 36 inches, for the sides of the table.

  5. Glue the 2 center legs into the middle fitting of the last 2 Ts.

  6. Fit a 36" side piece into each end piece Elbow. Attach the center leg T in the middle of each long side, connecting to a 36 inch length on each side. You can then attach your choice of netting onto the frame with plastic zip ties or string. if you want to be able to dissemble for storage or transport, the netting will hold the sides together so no glue is needed there. You can leave the ends attached to the netting and simply roll all the legs and sides up into a bundle that should be around 10" in diameter by about 40 inches long.
